Carter McNeese grew up on the Gulf Coast in Northwest Florida. Majoring in History and Political Science and minoring in Peace Studies, Carter received his BA from Warren Wilson College, outside of Asheville, NC, in 2007. Living in various places in NC after graduation and then a brief stint back home in FL, Carter found himself in Williamsburg, VA working at Colonial Williamsburg. While in Williamsburg, Carter met the single most amazing woman in the world, the former Audrey Biser, and in January of 2016, they got married. In May of 2018, he graduated with a Masters of Divinity from Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond.
In September of 2018, Carter and Audrey moved to Fairmont, NC where Carter answered a call to serve as Pastor of Fairmont First Baptist Church, arriving mere days after Hurricane Florence devastated the region.
Carter is a Christian of the Baptist variety, a WhoDat, a Geek, a Whovian, a Browncoat, an emerging Trekkie, a member of the Rebel Alliance, and a music nut. He loves to read fiction (especially Fantasy and Sci-Fi), History, Biography, Theology, and Comic Books. He might own more books than he knows what to do with. He also strongly believes in the Oxford comma.

I assume that we are related. My family most recently comes from Southern MS, but I’m pretty sure that all the McNeese’s spread across the country are descendants of one immigrant from Ireland in the 18th century. I am not, however, a genealogist, so take what I say with a grain of salt.
Also, I am NOT the Carter McNeese that is/was an actor. It would be cool if I was. Considering the scarcity of the last name and the unusual use of Carter as a given name, it always astounds me that there is another out there. Also, that I’d have to adopt some other name if I were to ever seek my SAG card!

Hi Pastor McNeese. My name is Laura Byrne Roebuck, daughter of long-time member of FBC Fairmont, Jim Byrne. Dad said you were coming to visit him in North Myrtle Beach. I believe it was yesterday at 1:00? I am so glad FBC has found a pastor. I am sorry I could not be there to visit. I just wanted to thank you for your visit. Dad is almost 88 years old now. He served the Lord through the church for most of his life. Thanks for visiting him.
